In line with the vision of making BLR Airport the new gateway to India, the major focus lies on developing new routes and building widespread connectivity from Bengaluru by undertaking the following:

  • Focus on untapped markets
  • Liaison with regulatory bodies for traffic rights to new markets
  • Develop long-term relationships with airlines and providing support for the commencement of operations
  • Provide market analytics to airlines and aviation bodies on a periodic basis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including tourism bodies, airports and travel and trade organisations

With the primary objective of providing an effective interface between the airline community and Government departments, the Airline Operators Committee (AOC) at BLR Airport represents the interests of airlines operating out of this Airport. Membership to the AOC is open to all airlines operating at BLR Airport. Currently, the AOC Bengaluru consists of 21 airlines. The Executive Board of this Committee consists of four members and is elected every two years by all members.
