Initially the thought of traveling to the new airport actually worried me. I am a frequent flier and I find it accessible to travel from the city. The airport is impressive and I must say the layout of the airport is awesome. I find the check in very user friendly. Both the National and Inter National lounges are well designed and its fun to spend time either shopping or sipping coffee. I find the staff very friendly and helpful and I am proud of our BIAL.

The Bengaluru International Airport is a world class airport. I do not see any negative points or flaws in it. It is fantastic because there is lots of stuff to do there are so many shops and eating outlets that you can choose from. Initially people spoke a lot about the distance to the airport and how far it was to get from the city. But there’s a beautiful road to access the airport and the availability of world-class public transport which doesn't burn a hole in the pockets of air travellers has taken care of this aspect. HAL Airport was conveniently located but did not have the capacity to handle Bangalore's burgeoning air-travel. BIAL is an airport all Bangaloreans can be proud of. Hats off to all those who have made this airport possible. Keep up the great work!

I think the new airport is fantastic. The moment we enter the fly over to the airport till we reach the parking lot you feel like you're in a different place. The distance can be a little much for people like us who travel quite frequently, but the Meru cabs and other services connecting us to the aiport do make us feel that the journey is not too long or inconvenient.I definitely think the ariport is far more organized than the previous one, the transit experience is also very welcoming. I think the Airport staff is doing a great job so far, but they should continue looking at making the experience a better one for all passengers. One thing that comes to mind is making the Baggage claim process and time faster so that people don't have to wait too long to receive their bags.

The new airport is a refreshing and welcoming change from the older one and travelling has become a lot easier as a result. I enjoy the shopping experience there and the range of food and beverage choices. The only downside is that the drive is extremely long and if I have an early morning flight then it can be a hassle to get to the airport. Barring that however, I really like the new airport and am happy we have it in Bangalore.

Since the Bengaluru International Airport opened last year, I’ve flown in and out numerous times both domestic and international. Immigration is a breeze and its lovely to see that the airport hasn’t been covered with paan stains - "Its clean and efficient! Everyone cribbed about the distance to the airport in the beginning, but that’s not an issue at all actually. Every big city has an airport that isn’t close to the center and the road leading to it is just fine. Everything about it is just great. It’s lovely and you deserve a pat on the back!"

The Bengaluru International Airport offers a gate-way to the city of Bangalore. I do believe the airport of a city is the calling card of a city at large. It is an entry and exit point that offers plenty of positive or negative strokes to those who visit on work or for pleasure. I really enjoy the new airport! It's so huge and expansive - with so many shops and things to do while you're waiting to board your flight. Also, it's so big that by the time you walk around and arrive at your departure gate - it's time to board. So in that way it minimizes boredom levels and one is able to pass time well with the shops and cafes.

I'm constantly travelling to various competitions around the world and I must say, the Bangalore airport is comparable to some of the best in the world. The waiting area with its range of shops and cafes really enhance the experience. Although the commute to the airport can be long - the Volvo buses and reliable and comfortable cab services make the journey far more tolerable and I'm willing to endure the journey because the airport experience itself is rewarding.

My experience with BIAL has been wholly rewarding and impressive. I tend to believe that world-class airports with heavy traffic should be outside the city limits to minimize traffic congestion and allow for scale and expansion. This is in keeping with international norms in bigger cities around the world - where all the airports are some distance away from the city centre. Moreover, I enjoy the airport experience right from checking-in till I board my flight as it is usually efficent and relaxed - not frenetic and stressful as it used to be earlier. Also, the internet connectivity is a real boon for people like me, who need to make use of waiting time to be accessible to work and clients. .

Initially I was a little disappointed with the BIAL probably because my expectations were high. But having travelled frequently over the past one year I must admit that I am happy with the facilities provided to the passengers though it is in no way comparable to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok airports. Completion of the approach road to the airport has also made a difference as one can reach the airport quite comfortably. Kudos to the staff of the BIAL who are doing a good job to ensure that passengers have a great time flying in and out of Bangalore. Good Luck and keep up the Good Work.

I travel through the airport thrice a week and am happy that we as Bangaloreans finally have a world class airport that is one of the best in India. I have to admit that I was a bit apprehensive when the new airport was opening because I stay just 10 minutes from the old one. But now, this new airport has become part of our lives and the extra half an hour is compensated by the much better experience that the new airport offers. Time is saved at the parking lot, the drop off, etc. I think the shopping experience is great - better than the Hyderabad airport and much better than Mumbai. The choice of brands is really good. If I had to shop at any airport in the country - it would be Bengaluru International Airport. We would like to see the staff keep up the standards of the airport, if not improve them - but not let them go down

Before the international airport opened, it was subjected to a lot of criticism because of the distance from the city and other factors. In fact, even though it takes me more than 45 minutes to get to the airport, I would much rather visit this one than the previous one which was not upto international standards at all.The airport is very swanky and leaves a good first impression to visitors. Having said that, I will say that the check-in area is a bit cramped and that it needs to have a more open area. Also, they should try and accommodate full-service restaurants rather than only cafes or snack bars. In all, I am a very frequent traveller and the new airport has certainly made my flying experience far more enjoyable and relaxing with its international look and feel and superior services.

I find the airport very user friendly and extremely efficient. There is no comparison with the old airport as the old one served the traffic in its time. When Bangalore became and international, global village, this new airport came at the right time. I'm lucky because I stay equidistant from the airport and the city, so travelling to the airport hardly takes me 25 minutes, but I still feel that the bottlenecks on the road from the city to the airport can be removed and the road improved. The shopping areas and the café are very nice to spend time in. I have shopped at the terminal myself and I feel it is a nice experience. I must say I like the American system where everyone wishes everyone with a smile and that culture is present at the airport, although I feel it should be across all those working at the airport. I appreciate the fact that everything is clean, bright and sparkling and I appreciate the effort of all those who work behind the scenes to ensure that everything is so clean.
