I have had three occasions to use the BIA facilities recently and I fully concur with CEO Albert Brunner's statement that it is a very functional airport. It reminds me very much of the Munich airport which has consistently received high praise as one of the best airports. I particularly like the fact that Mr.Brunner did not succumb to political pressure to add unnecessary frills like carpets. These are not really suited for the Indian environment and the granite is just fine. I also noticed that he was responsive to the "insufficient toilet facilities" which was my first reaction when I used the airport. Overall I think Mr. Brunner and his team have done a fantastic job under the most difficult circumstances in a politically charged environment.

I want to congratulate BIAL on your superb efforts in provision of an excellent international airport to Bangalore.

I am originally from Bangalore and having visited numerous airports around the globe, I always felt that we needed an efficient, clean and user-friendly airport. I have just visited your website and I am very pleased to note all your excellent achievements (I have not seen it yet, although, I will be visiting Bangalore from 31 July to 12 Aug 2008 via Frankfurt)

My only suggestion is to ensure meticulous maintenance of the premises and rigorous quality control. Good luck

Greetings, My wife and daughter had the pleasure of travelling via the new airport yesterday, i.e. 26May08, en route to Dubai. We’ve been abroad for 16 yrs plus now, and experienced various airports around the world. We don’t have the least hesitation in stating that the new airport at BLR is on par with, and in some respects outdoes, most of its peer group members. The facilities, the lighting, the materials used in construction, movement of people are all passenger-friendly and have been put in place with painstaking detail. Surprisingly, my wife and daughter said that the transport services to the airport from downtown were also of acceptable quality. The taxi driver was very professional and polite in his behaviour (a rare quality these days), and brought them to the airport via the shortest route. The roads were tolerable and the fare reasonable. Some of the pax complained about the UDF, but for the facilities offered, the fee is not exorbitant.

A very big THUMBS UP for the overall experience and here’s looking to sustained performance in the years to come. Congrats to your entire team who’ve done Bangalore proud by putting together this functional and awesome marvel.

I was thrilled to see photos of the new Bangalore airport!!! Way to go!!!! Now I will feel like I'm almost at home when I arrive next visit. Even the website is sensical, clean, and comprehensive.

I can only suggest and hope that the new airport has upped the security issue a bit and have better control on departure checks, and exchange counters. On every arrival in Bangalore for the past ten years I have been cheated out of the correct exchange rate at the exchange counters. Adding the ATM machines is a great way to control this, but since exchange counters still exist I propose camera monitors by the counters. .

I should congratulate BIA for an excellent TAXI services by Meru / Easy cabs. But there is confusion, when we arrive – some people asked us to go to Pre-Paid Taxi. This Pre-Paid taxi charges much more than the Meru Taxi & service is not as good as Meru/Easy Cabs.
