As operator of India’s prime Greenfield airport, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) is committed to the ideals and practice of environmental responsibility towards creating, conserving and ascertaining safe and clean environment for sustainable development. The management & employees of BIAL are committed to achieve excellence in environmental management through measures designed to:

• Identify, prevent, control and minimize adverse environmental impacts associated with airport operations.

• Conserve natural resources in the day to day activities.
  
• Continually improve environmental performance by setting objectives and targets to prevent or reduce pollution/waste and minimize the resources.
• Comply with all applicable legal & other environmental requirements.
  
• Develop and maintain highly motivated and trained work force for effective management of the environment.
  
• Evaluate, review and modify environmental management practices keeping in view the regulatory and other requirements, community concerns and technological advancements.
  
• Establish to work in harmony with nature by planting trees, developing green belt and promoting lush green surroundings at the airport.
